Brushyland - Jan. 14, 2006
We had a fun group at Brushyland in January. The weather was just about perfect. We
were in the middle of a drought but luckily we had a light rain the night before, so we
were able to safely have a small campfire.

The sunset was wonderful that night. Afterwards, Brian treated us to a new appetizer; jalapeno
peppers stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon. Mmmm. The steaks, potatoes, onions and
cobbler all turned out great too.
"Macho, macho man..."
Dave introduced us to a new game called cornhole. LOL.
It is every bit as much fun as pitchin' washers. And it's easier to play than washers when
it gets dark and the only light source is a Coleman lantern. Dave built the two "platforms"
himself. I have a feeling that dad and I will be building a couple of these - and taking them
to Red River, NM in the Fall.
