Stoner's 28th Annual Catch & Release
Bass Tournament

May 4th, 2028 --- Lake Fork, TX

We got pretty lucky with the weather. During the days leading up to the tournament, the forecast had consistently called for thunderstorms during tourney, but they never materialized. In fact, if anything, it was a bit too hot (roughly 90 degrees) and sunny! Even with sunscreen, I got a slight sunburn. But I'll certainly take that over storms.

Like last year, the fishing was a bit off. Texas has been getting a lot of rain this Spring, so the lake was very high. So they were letting water out of Lake Fork's dam which somehow nearly always turns off the fish. The water was extremely stained to boot. But fish were still caught (and released), and good times were still had. And it's always great seeing some familiar bass-fishing faces, and a few new ones too.

See the Official Results section at the bottom of this page for a full roster of this year's contestants.

Ryan Henry - 2024 Champion
Ryan Henry (my buddy Scott's son) dominated the tourney with a 4-fish stringer weighing 6.04 pounds. Congrats Ryan!
